Sharon Ruth Haughey, age 65, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri passed away on June 14, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 20, 1959, in Watseka, Illinois; a daughter of Alvin Hermann and Elfriede Marie (Peters) Bohlmann.
She was united in marriage to Paul on May 31, 1980, in Woodworth, Illinois. They shared 45 beautiful years together at the time of her passing.
Sharon was proud of her dairy farming heritage and her careers at Caterpillar and State Farm. She enjoyed entertaining guests, golfing, gardening, cooking, sewing, boating, and traveling. Her love of children in need led her to volunteering. She was a CASA (Court Approved Special Advocate for Foster Kids), while living in Bloomington, Illinois. After retiring to the lake area, she was the Request Coordinator for the Lake of the Ozarks Idiots Club. She received the LO Profile Magazine Ambassador of Hope Award for her work with the Idiots Club while living with ALS. Sharon’s most treasured time was spent with her family and especially the grandchildren.
Sharon is survived by husband, Paul Haughey of the home; her daughters Lexie Doré (Lou), Meggie Hunsinger (Zach), and Andrea Woodlee (Kyndl); she was known affectionately as Omi by her grandchildren Cain Doré, Simon Doré, Henry Hunsinger, Liesl Hunsinger, Ruthie Hunsinger, and Indie Woodlee; her siblings Fred (Mary) Bohlmann, Rodney (Karen) Bohlmann, Elaine (Kazu) Okamoto, and Judy (Dave) Creek; and other relatives and many friends.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Elfriede Bohlmann; her sister Donna Young; and brother Jim Bohlmann.
Friends will be received from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Home Osage Beach. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Christ the King Lutheran Church.
