Rose Mary Hibdon, age 91, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away peacefully in her home on June 26, 2025, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Knob Noster, Missouri, on March 8, 1934, to Eva and Harmon Siegfried. She moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where she worked for Hallmark. She was married to her husband, “Rusty” Hibdon on July 17, 1954. When they retired, they moved to Sunrise Beach, Missouri, and were active members of the Sunrise Beach Baptist Church. Later in life, they moved to Omaha, Nebraska, to be close to their family and became members of Midlands Bible Baptist Church.
As her health started failing, she enjoyed watching church on her phone and television with her morning coffee with fried eggs for breakfast. She was always up for a trip to Walmart, out to eat or any other destination.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, “Rusty” Hibdon, a sister, Carolyn and brother, Bill.
She is survived by a sister, Lois Coop of Sherman, Illinois; two daughters, Barbara Ann Snodgrass (Ray) of Fremont, Nebraska and Janet Sue Williams (Willie) of Kansas City, Missouri; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 5th, at the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel. Graveside services and interment will follow at the Holst Cemetery in Gravois Mills. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Sunrise Beach Baptist Church.
