Thru Sept. 17 • The 17th annual Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest will be held at venues all over the Lake area. Biker-friendly bars, hotels and other businesses will be offering entertainment, vendors and events for several days. A Passport Run for the chance to win a new motorcycle will be held. Thru October 23 • Heart 2 Heart Center for Women’s Ministries will host a seven-week program called “Boundaries with Kids.” The group will meet on Mondays from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Purchase your book at the center (1023 E Hwy 54, Camdenton) for $8. Call 573-873-2554 to register.

15 & 16 • An Indoor Garage Sale & Market Place will be held from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Camden County Museum. Vendors will be selling a variety of items. Free admission, lunch available for a donation. For more information, call 573-873-2990 or go to www.camdencountymuseum.org.

16 • Radio-Active Players, a talented troupe of actors, will be performing in the style of Old-time Radio at Barista GO Coffeehouse on State Rd KK. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show is at 7 p.m. Call Beth at 913-909-8603 or Will at 573-462-6623.

16 • The Lake Career & Technical Center will host a car show from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in Camdenton. More than a dozen categories car and truck categories will be judged. The culinary students will be selling a pulled pork lunch. All proceeds supports the LCTC SkillsUSA Chapter.

16 • Child Advocacy Council is sponsoring its annual Arts in the Park on Saturday, Sept. 16, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Camdenton City Park. It is about hands-on arts and craft activities for children and their families for free. The Council serves hotdogs for a free lunch for children and their families.

16 • The second annual Wine Dinner for Citizens Against Domestic Violence will be held at 4 p.m. at Jolly Rogers Grub & Grog. A six-course dinner with wines will be served. Tickets are $275 per person. Get tickets at www.jollydinnerparty.com.

16 • A Taco and Margarita Festival will be held at Ozarks Amphitheater from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. The event benefits Wonderland Camp. VIP early entry is $39 with general admission $12. 16 • The annual Pig-N-Pickle Fest will be held at the Tuscumbia Riverside Park (40 Hwy. HH) from 5-10 p.m. A parade starts at 4 p.m. with live music from Shilo from 6-10 p.m. Dinner is served from 5-7 p.m. Free horse rides and train rides for kids.

16 & 17 • The Lake Arts Council is hosting a fine art show at The Lodge of the Four Seasons Campana Hall. Art for the Seasons is an opportunity for artists to showcase and sell their work. 18 • A Lake Area Big Brothers Big Sisters reception and fund raiser will be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Baxter’s Lakeside Grille in Lake Ozark. This will be a big celebration of mentoring and the cost if a $75 donation. 19 • A benefit golf tournament for Big Sisters Big Brothers will be held at The Club at Porto Cima on Rt. MM. Scott’s Concrete 2-Person Scramble will have a noon tee time. Cost is $100 for golf members and $175 for non-members. Cost includes 18 holes of golf, cart, range, lunch and tournament prizes. The lead sponsor is Alternative Claim Services, Inc. 19 • Camden County Republican Club’s February meeting will feature guest speaker Richelle Grosvenor, Camden County prosecuting attorney. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Community Christian Church, 1064 N Business Route 5, Camdenton. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. You do not need to be a member to attend.

21 • The Newcomers/Longtimers is having a free kickoff Party of the Year from 4-6 p.m. at Elks Lodge 2517 in Osage Beach. The Lodge is located at 5161 Osage Beach Parkway. 22 • Meowtown Animal Rescue’s Fall Garage Sale will be from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at Four Seasons POA Campground, 187 Campground Road off Horseshoe Bend Parkway. Christmas decor, Longaberger Baskets, clothing, shoes, skis and golf equipment, and more.

23 & 24 • The Lake of the Ozarks Mountain Man Festival will be held at the Laurie Hillbilly Fairgrounds with demonstrations, a traders row, primitive skills and living history. Hours are 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday.

25 • Everyone’s Story Literary Club will meet from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Lake Arts Council Office at the Stonecrest Mall. “Everyone’s Story” is a community of deep thinkers, risk takers, poets, writers, and readers that experiment, encourage, and celebrate the literary art inside each human being.

28 • The Elks Lodge in Laurie hosts a blood drive from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. in the banquet room. Donors will receive a coupon for a pint of frozen custard from Culvers in Osage Beach or Camdenton. 30 • The 15th annual Champagne Campaign will be held at Shawnee Bluff Vineyard at 4:30 p.m. Dinner will be provided by PaPPo’s Pizza and MaMaCita’s. A silent and live auction will be held, and Justin Farrell will provide entertainment. Tickets are $65 per person. The event is a benefit for the Community Foundation of the Lake. OCTOBER

1 • The Camdenton CROP Hunger Walk will be held at the Camdenton United Methodist Church. Walkers will follow a route along Hwy. 54, with the 1.4-mile walk ending at the Community Christian Church. Registration and signup begins at 1:30 p.m. In case of inclement weather, registration and walk will be held in the Community Christian Church gym. 1 • The Running of the Knights 5K and Fun Run benefit for King’s Academy will be held in Lake Ozark. The 5K is $40 and the 1-mile Fun Run is $20. Awards will be handed out by age group. The Fun Run begins at 3 p.m .and the 5K begins at 3:30 p.m. For more information, go to www.kingsacademylo.com.

7 • Camden County Patriot Dinner will be held at 6 p.m. at the Community Christian Church, 1064 N. Bus. Highway 5, Camdenton. Doors open at 5 p.m. Meet and greet candidates running for governor, secretary of state, treasurer and attorney general. A silent auction will be held as a fundraiser for the club. 7 • Oktoberfest authentic German dinner complete with live polka music provided by Johnny Ziebert’s band will be held from 4 -7 p.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 442 E Hwy 54, Camdenton. Brats, Sauerbraten, pork loin, German potato salad, sauerkraut, green beans, red cabbage dessert and drinks. Carry out or dine in, and you can make reservations for six or more people. Silent auction and other fun. A portion of the funds helps service organizations such as LAMB House, CADV, Helping Hands and Medical Ministry. 7 • The Lake of the Ozarks Boutique Crawl will be held from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Lake area boutiques from Camdenton to Eldon are hosting specials, giveaways, food and drinks, and other fun events. Pick up a punch card and map at the first place you visit and get stamped at all participating locations for the chance to win prizes.
