Lake Regional's Skilled Nursing Facility has once again earned a five-star overall rating, the highest available, from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Lake Regional Skilled Nursing also achieved a five-star quality rating.

CMS provides ratings for nursing facilities based on three sources of information: health inspections, staffing levels and quality measures. The quality section measures a variety of areas, including hospital readmissions and the patient’s ability to improve function and return home. CMS established the rating system to help families and caregivers compare nursing facilities.

“I am proud of our team for earning multiple five-star ratings,” said Cherilyn Sisson, R.N., BSN, Lake Regional Skilled Nursing Facility manager. “We all work as a team to provide patient-centered care, and earning the highest mark in the quality domain shows that our patients benefit from our high care standards.”

Located within the hospital, Lake Regional Skilled Nursing provides intermediate, transitional and subacute specialized nursing care. The facility’s personalized therapy program is designed to help patients achieve independence and a higher quality of life through rehabilitation therapies. The facility is committed to providing exceptional, personalized care in a comfortable, friendly environment.

“Our patients often remark that they were treated like family while at our facility,” Sisson said. “We love providing the specialized care our patients need to improve their quality of life. It is always rewarding to see the pride in our patient’s faces as they meet their rehabilitation goals.” Lake Regional Skilled Nursing Facility features semi-private and private rooms.
