Pair from Arkansas injured after vehicle overturns on Highway 50
An Arkansas man and woman were injured Tuesday morning when their vehicle overturned while attempting to make a turn on Highway 50 from Highway 5 in Morgan County.
A Missouri State Highway Patrol report states that Robert Venzant, 29, of West Memphis Crittenden, Ark., was heading south on Highway 5 in a 2000 Kenworth Tractor with a trailer when he attempted to make a right turn to head west on Highway 50. All of the right trailer tires traveled into the ditch, causing the vehicle to overturn.
Venzant received minor injuries and a passenger, Latinga Nelson, 43, also of West Memphis Crittenden, was moderately injured. Both occupants were wearing safety devices and were transported by ambulance to Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia to treat their injuries.
The Kenworth Tractor was moderately damaged and towed from the scene.
