Two seriously injured in boat collision
Two people from West Des Moines, Iowa were seriously injured in a boating accident Friday evening. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2015 SeaDoo was occupied by Jack Koerner and Cole Coffin, both 21 of West Des Moines struck the starboard side of a 1995 Envision driven by Todd Gore, 56, of Port Barrington, Ill. Passengers in the boat were Garrett Bright, of Crystal Lake, Ill and Vanessa Gore, 22, of Port Barrington, Ill. The accident occurred at 6:52 p.m. on June 12 at the 4.2-mile mark of the Gravois Arm.
Both occupants of the PWC were transported by MU Air Care to the University of Missouri Hospital. The report states it is unknown who was the driver. Both were wearing a life jacket.
No one on the Envision were injured. The boat was driven from the scene.
