Eldon comeback bid comes up short at Lebanon
Eldon put up quite a fight Thursday night on the road at Lebanon.
The Mustangs trailed by as many as 12 in the first half and 31-24 at the half and a 16-6 Lebanon run in the third quarter had the team down by 17 at the start of the fourth. Eldon climbed back in it with a 22-8 run in the final frame but ultimately came up short in a 55-52 loss to the Yellowjackets.
Kayleigh Fike led Eldon with 19 points, Lauren Imler finished with 12 and Hayley Henderson added 11 in the effort.
Eldon (2-4) will get ready for tournament action next week at Linn to wrap up the 2019 portion of the season.
Osage falls at Eugene
School of the Osage visited Eugene Thursday night and it was a tough outing for the Indians in a 48-27 loss to the Eagles.
Osage (2-5) will host neighbor Camdenton on Monday in a battle for Lake area bragging rights.
Versailles takes a loss at Cole Camp
After picking up its first win of the season against Smithton on Tuesday, Versailles was on the road for a battle at Cole Camp Thursday night and the Tigers came home with a 36-28 defeat.
Versailles (1-4) visits Laquey on Monday.
Macks Creek drops game in Hermitage Tournament
Macks Creek met Wheatland in the second game of pool play at the Hermitage Tournament Thursday night and fell to the Mules 66-33.
Macks Creek (2-2) will face Weaubleau for third place on Saturday at 6 p.m.
