Versailles quickly faced an uphill battle Friday night in the regular season finale at Hallsville. 

The Tigers found themselves down 28-6 at halftime in the Tri-County Conference showdown and were unable to climb that hill in a 50-24 loss to the Indians. 

Versailles senior quarterback Coby Williams completed 17 of his 26 passes for 234 yards, two touchdowns and an interception and led the ground game as well with 189 yards and two more scores on 27 carries, averaging seven yards per attempt. 

Senior wideout Dallas Waller was Williams' top target of the night with 13 receptions for 197 yards and both touchdowns and sophomore Adam Radcliff added three catches for 32 yards of his own. 

Versailles (2-7, 2-5 Tri-County Conference) will enter the Class 2 District 4 playoffs as the fifth seed and will head to No. 4 El Dorado Springs (4-5) Friday night for the first round at 7 p.m.
