Emily Guthrie brings home a medal for the Mustangs
Eldon runners were in Mexico Tuesday afternoon to run amongst a field of 57 boys and 60 girls in the Mexico Autumn Classic and the Mustangs were able to come away with one medal amongst the pack.
The Eldon girls finished seventh out of nine teams with 156 points and Emily Guthrie brought home a medal as she captured 17th with a time of 23:02. Kelsey Wallis placed 24th at 23:57, Karmen McNeil was 36th at 24:51, Vivian Webster was 43rd at 25:36, Adysson Gerber was 51st at 26:46, Anna Herbert was 52nd at 26:54 and Kenzi Bustamante was 47th at 30:01. The Eldon boys did not have enough runners to qualify for team competition as Jacob Arnold was the first Mustang across the finish line in 51st place at 23:42 and Matthew Pollett was 54th at 24:39.
Eldon will wrap up its regular season at Fatima on Saturday at 9 a.m.
