Eldon outpaced at Battle
Eldon visited Battle Monday night and the Mustangs had a tough outing with a 13-3 loss to the Spartans.
Eldon committed seven errors in the contest and Battle was able to take advantage while racking up 10 hits.
Eldon (5-24, 1-6 Tri-County Conference) will now get ready for the postseason as the Mustangs prepare for a showdown with Southern Boone in the first round of the Class 3 District 9 Tournament at Southern Boone on Thursday at 6 p.m.
Versailles wraps up regular season with loss to Hallsville
Versailles hosted Hallsville in the regular season finale on Monday and fell to the Indians 12-2.
Kierra O'Rourke had a hit and RBI for the Tigers and Taylor Bice and Morgan Allen had the team's only other hits on the night. Joscelynn Marriott was in the circle and went six innings allowing five earned runs on 15 hits while striking out one and walking two. Versailles also had seven errors in the contest.
The Tigers (7-16, 0-7 Tri-County Conference) now gets ready for postseason play in the Class 2 District 9 Tournament where the team will host Calvary Lutheran on Thursday in the first round at 5 p.m.
Macks Creek shut down by Walnut Grove in regular season finale
Macks Creek welcomed Walnut Grove for the regular season finale Monday night and the Pirates were blanked 7-0.
Bethany Schmidt collected the lone hit for the Pirates and Shaylee Skinner (5-8) took the loss in the circle after working a complete game allowing seven runs, three earned, on six hits while striking out seven and walking three.
Macks Creek (12-11, 4-3 Polk County League) will meet Jamestown in the semifinals of the Class 1 District 5 Tournament in St. Elizabeth on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
