Camdenton was in Webb City Saturday morning for the Red Bird Invitational where the Lakers finished fifth among 11 teams and picked up a few highlights along the way.

Camdenton was in Webb City Saturday morning for the Red Bird Invitational where the Lakers finished fifth among 11 teams and picked up a few highlights along the way.

The Lakers accumulated 134 points while Glendale won the meet with 338 followed by Ozark (154), Joplin (146) and Kickapoo (140). 

Gavin Schulte won both the 50 and 100 freestyle races, finishing the 50 in 23.06 seconds while winning the 100 with a time of 50.14 seconds respectively. Other individual finishes included Bryce Leuenberger placing fourth in the 100 breaststroke at 1:14.87, Noah Normand placing fifth in the 200 individual medley at 2:40.44 and Michael Radlund capturing sixth in the 500 freestyle at 5:54.57. 

Meanwhile, the relay team of Dane Lapine, Leuenberger, Radlund and Schulte finished fourth in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:54.33. Last but not least, the 200 freestyle relay team of Lapine, Jeremy Bernabe, Radlund and Schulte captured third at 1:41.7. 

Camdenton will be back in action on Tuesday at Foster Natatorium in Springfield for a meet at 4:30 p.m.
