Camdenton advances to district title game in rout of West Plains

Camdenton wasted no time on the home pitch in the semifinals of the Class 3 District 10 Tournament Monday night.

The Lakers (11-11-1) took on winless West Plains and sent the Zizzers home with a 10-0 defeat.

Aeryn Kennedy and Alli Johns both had hat tricks for the Lakers scoring three goals each while Sasha Prather scored twice and Skyler Sweezor and Delaney Van Buren also scored.

“It was a fun game. We played well and possessed the ball throughout the game,” Camdenton coach Chris Byington said. “We will need to take it into Wednesday against Rolla for the district finals. Rolla is a good club and I think the girls are ready to take them on Wednesday.”

The championship against the Bulldogs (9-11-3) is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.

Osage falls to Stover in district battle

Osage met Stover in the district semifinals of the Class 2 District 11 Tournament Monday night in Clinton and the Indians fell to the Bulldogs 3-2.

Chance Estrada scored twice for the Indians on assists from Nevaeh Henley and Demie Cobb, but the Bulldogs scored the game-winner four minutes into the second half. Payton Good recorded 12 saves for Osage and the Indians end the season at 7-17.
