Camdenton took a trip to Jefferson City on Tuesday to face Helias and a late surge of offense from the Crusaders led to a 6-3 defeat for the Lakers.

Camdenton got off to a nice start as Riley Stidham hit a 2-RBI double in the first inning to plate the first runs of the night and Andrew DiBello added an RBI-single to make it 3-0.

However, the home team quickly responded and tied the game back up by the second and three more runs in the fifth were all Helias needed.

Luke Lockhert, Dylan Thompson and DiBello led the Laker bats with two hits each as the team tallied eight for the night. Lockhert was also on the hill and took the loss after 4 1/3 innings allowing six runs, five earned, on five hits, five walks and a strikeout. Cole linch worked 2/3 of an inning allowing two walks and Conner Miller pitched the remaining inning.

Camdenton (13-9, 4-4 Ozark Conference) was scheduled to take on Springfield Central on Wednesday to wrap up the regular season. Up next is the Class 5 District 9 Tournament in Waynesville where the Lakers will face Smith-Cotton (13-9) in the first round on Saturday at 10 a.m.
