Camdenton visited Columbia Battle Monday night and it was another tough night for the Lakers as they dropped their second overtime game 3-2 to the Spartans.

“The girls played ok but we struggled to find our groove at times,” Camdenton coach Chris Byington said. “We battled hard, but we just need to fix a few things and continue to get better each day. Keep our heads up and continue to press on.”

Camdenton’s Aeryn Kennedy and Sasha Prather netted the two goals for the Lakers.

Camdenton (0-6) started last season 1-5 before winning eight of the next 10 and the club will look to put together a similar run in 2019. The Lakers were scheduled to open up Ozark Conference play at Hillcrest on Tuesday and up next is the Lady Viking Tournament in Parkview over the weekend.
