Water clarity: Stained. Fishing is slow for all species.

LOWER OSAGE

Water clarity: Stained. Black bass: Slow on suspending stickbaits, Alabama rigs and spinnerbaits on 45-degree banks and secondary points. Crappie: Good on jigs set 3 to 5 feet below a bobber or casting jigs along secondary points. White bass: Good on suspending stickbaits on windy main lake points.

GRAVOIS

Water clarity: Stained. Black bass: Slow on suspending jerkbaits, Alabama rigs and jigs in coves. Crappie: Good spider rigging minnows along gravel banks or shooting jigs under docks 9 to 12 feet deep. Catfish: Good drifting cut shad through schools of shad.

MID-LAKE

Water clarity: Stained. Black bass: Fair on jigs, Wiggle Wart crankbaits and spinnerbaits 2 to 6 feet deep along mixed chunk rock and pea gravel banks. Crappie: Good on jigs set below a cork about 3 feet deep along pea gravel banks.

GRAND GLAIZE

Water clarity: Murky to muddy. Black bass: Fair on spinnerbaits and square bill crankbaits along gravel banks. Crappie: Good on jigs 2 to 8 feet deep in brush along pea gravel banks.

NIANGUA

Water clarity: Clearing. Black bass: Slow on jigs, suspending jerkbaits and crankbaits on chunk rock banks. Crappie: Fair on minnows in brush 8 to 10 feet deep.

UPPER OSAGE

Water clarity: Murky. Black bass: Slow on Wiggle Wart crankbaits along gravel banks. Crappie: Fair on minnows around docks 8 feet deep. Catfish: Good on cut shad. Paddlefish: Excellent snagging.
