Camdenton visited Jefferson City Wednesday night and it proved to be a tough night on the pitch for the Lakers as they fell to the Jays 2-0.

Both Jefferson City goals came quickly in the second half after both sides went to halftime scoreless. The Lakers are still looking for their first win after an 0-5 start to the year.

“We played well despite the slow start to the second half,” Camdenton coach Chris Byington said.

“The girls are still working hard and things will come together. They know that we play tough teams at the beginning of the season and that it will help us grow into the team that we want to be by the end of the season.”

Camdenton will look to regroup at Columbia Battle on Monday at 6 p.m.
