Camdenton was on the pitch Saturday morning for a showdown with Helias and the visiting Crusaders walked away with a 3-0 win.

“Tough game and Helias was a good team possession-wise. We had some good off-the-ball movements and the girls battled hard,” Camdenton coach Chris Byington said. “We let down for eight minutes and Helias capitalized in the second half.”

It has not been the start Camdenton wanted after falling to 0-3 on the year, but the outlook for Byington is a positive one.

“We will get better and the girls know that we play tough teams and a tough schedule in order to get the results at the end,” he remarked. “It is never about how you start, but where you end. We keep grinding and working hard and we will get better.”

Camdenton was scheduled to visit Sedalia Smith-Cotton on Monday before visiting Jefferson City on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
