LOWER OSAGE

Water clarity: Stained. Black bass: Slow on suspending stickbaits and Alabama rigs in coves. Crappie: Good on jigs set 3 to 5 feet below a bobber along secondary points.

GRAVOIS

Water clarity: Stained. Black bass: Slow on suspending jerkbaits along secondary gravel points. Crappie: Good spider rigging 5 to 8 feet deep along gravel banks.

MID-LAKE

Water clarity: Murky. Black bass: Slow on suspending stickbaits, jigs and Wiggle Wart crankbaits along steep rocky banks. Crappie: Good on jigs set below a cork about 4 feet deep along gravel banks or casting jigs to docks or brush piles 10 to 20 feet deep.

GRAND GLAIZE

Water clarity: Stained to clear. Black bass: Fair on suspending stickbaits 2 to 10 feet deep along secondary points. Crappie: Good on jigs set 2 to 3 feet below a bobber on secondary points or casting jigs to brush piles 15 to 20 feet deep.

NIANGUA

Water clarity: Muddy. Black bass: Slow on chartreuse suspending jerkbaits and jigs in the coves. Crappie: Slow on minnows around docks.

UPPER OSAGE

Water clarity: Murky. Black bass: Slow on Wiggle Wart crankbaits along secondary points. Crappie: Good on jigs or minnows around docks 10 to 12 feet deep. Paddlefish: Good snagging around the 42- to 48-mile mark.
