School of the Osage got its season started on the right foot Monday night by taking down Laquey by a final score of 2-1.

The first goal of the season came off the foot of Destin Allen who put the Indians on the board with 23 minutes left in the first half on an assist by Emily Kostuke. The final goal of the evening came from Timbre Gonnella who scored with just under 10 minutes remaining in the game on an assist by Marley Cope. Meanwhile, keeper Alyssa Pittenger recorded six saves to give the Indians a chance to come out on top.

Osage (1-0) will return to the pitch to host Moberly on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
