Eldon falls to Clinton in district semifinals

Eldon was the fourth seed in a Class 3 District 10 semifinal battle with top-seeded Clinton and the hosts handed the Mustangs a 59-36 loss to end the season.

Haley Clifton led Eldon with 10 points, Camri Bond put up eight, Caroline Beckmann put up seven, Elizabeth Rush chipped in six and Kayleigh Fike contributed five.

Eldon ends the season at 6-19.

Camdenton tops Glendale on Senior Night

It was Senior Night at Camdenton on Wednesday and the Lakers did not disappoint with a 73-58 win over Glendale.

Natalie Basham put up 30 points, Darby Roam knocked down 13, Shelby Kurtz contributed eight points and seven rebounds, Elle Turner added seven points, Payton Kincaid finished with six points and Megan Vest collected 10 rebounds.

“I am super proud of how our bench is stepping up. They are now averaging 20 points a game,” Camdenton coach Staci Caffey said. “Payton and Mya (Hulett) give us depth on the inside while Elle is stepping up and doing a great job giving the guards a break. She has played some big minutes making great plays and I love the intensity and effort she plays with.”

Camdenton (18-8) will get ready to host as the top seed in the Class 5 District 10 Tournament against No. 4 Springfield Central (7-17) on Monday at 5:30 p.m.
