Camdenton and Branson met on the court in Bolivar for the second round of the Gary Keeling Lady Liberator Tournament Wednesday night and the Lakers managed to hold off the Pirates for a 75-70 win.
Camdenton started fast to build a 27-6 lead after the first quarter, but Branson closed the gap and only trailed 39-35 by halftime. The Lakers managed to hold on and protect the lead the rest of the way.
Darby Roam led Camdenton with 24 points and Natalie Basham added 17 points of her own.
Camdenton (11-5, 2-1 Ozark Conference) was scheduled to take on host Bolivar in the finale Thursday night and will jump back into conference action with a game at Parkview on January 24 at 4:30 p.m.
