TO NOTE

The Lower Osage is from the dam to the 22-mile mark; Mid-Lake is between the 22 and 38-mile marks; the Upper Osage is between the 38 and the Rt. 65 Bridge.

MID-LAKE

Water clarity: Murky. Black bass: Fair on jigs 6 to 8 feet deep on steep banks. Crappie: Fair on jigs 10 to 15 feet deep in brush piles and along docks.

LOWER OSAGE

Water clarity: Stained in back of coves and main lake, clear halfway back in coves. Black bass: Fair on crankbaits and suspending stickbaits along channel banks in coves and secondary points. Crappie: Good on jigs in front of docks over depths of 20 feet in the evenings.

UPPER OSAGE

Water clarity: Murky to muddy. Black bass: Slow on suspending stickbaits or crawfish-colored crankbaits on flats 10 to 12 feet deep. Crappie: Fair on dark-colored jigs or minnows in brush 12 to 15 feet deep. Catfish: Fair on nightcrawlers off the docks. Walleye: Slow on spoons along piers of main lake docks.

GRAND GLAIZE

Water clarity: Muddy on the upper end and murky on lower end. Black bass: Fair on Alabama rigs and jerkbaits over brush piles on steep banks. Crappie: Fair on jigs set below a bobber 6 feet deep along sunny banks.

GRAVOIS

Water clarity: Stained on lower end and muddy in the upper arms. Black bass: Fair on bright-colored suspending stickbaits and jigs 6 to 8 feet deep along steep banks. Crappie: Fair on jigs and jerkbaits 15 deep around brush piles and docks on the main lake.

NIANGUA

Water clarity: Clear on lower arm and stained in upper end. Black bass: Slow on suspending stickbaits or Rk Crawler crankbaits along points. Crappie: Fair shooting jigs under docks 12 to 15 feet deep.
