Virtue's free throw seals win for the Lakers
One free throw made the difference for Camdenton Thursday night.
The Lakers welcomed former Ozark Conference foe Joplin to their home floor and Camdenton's Kelton Virtue stepped up to the free throw line in a tie game with 4.7 seconds left. One of those free throws made its way through the net and the result was a 57-56 win over the Eagles.
"Free throws almost cost us the game, but Kelton hit one," Camdenton coach Craig Campbell said. "We had a great crowd and the boys rewarded them with a great effort."
Virtue knocked down 25 points to lead Camdenton and Luke Eveland added 10 points of his own in the effort.
