Camdenton opens the season with win over Republic
Camdenton opened its season on the road Monday night at Republic and came home with a three-set win over the Tigers.
The Lakers took the first game 25-21, fell 25-17 in the second and captured a 25-19 win in the third to close it out.
The Laker attack was led by the senior duo of Natalie Basham and Sabrina Seschnol as they smacked down nine kills each while sophomore Syndey Smith contributed six kills to the effort. Basham also dropped down two aces and Smith paced the attack with 14 assists while senior Lizzie Miller put up seven assists of her own.
Defensively, Basham kept Republic at bay with 14 digs while Smith put up 12 and both Miller and junior Shelby Kurtz chipped in 10 each.
Camdenton (1-0) was scheduled to host Lake area neighbor Eldon Tuesday night before visiting Columbia Rock Bridge on Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
Eldon tops Tipton
Eldon volleyball picked up a two-set win over Tipton on Monday night by final scores of 25-16 and 25-10. Eldon (1-0) was scheduled to visit Camdenton on Tuesday before hosting Mexico in the home opener on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
Versailles falls to Warrensburg
Versailles volleyball hosted Warrensburg in the season-opener Monday night and fell to the visiting Tigers in two sets by final scores of 25-20 and 25-17. Versailles 0-1) will visit Tipton on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
Osage picks up win at Dixon
Osage volleyball was on the road at Dixon for its season-opener Monday night and the Indians came home with a win after taking down the Bulldogs in two sets by final scores of 25-5 and 25-12. Osage (1-0) was scheduled to host Stover on Tuesday and the Indians will be back in action at home on Thursday for the Tri-County Conference opener against Blair Oaks. First serve is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
