Lakers and Indians come up short in individual districts

Camdenton unable to advance past quarterfinals in individual districts

Camdenton set out on its home courts Saturday morning looking to advance in singles or doubles in Class 2 District 10 individual districts. The Lakers advanced as far as the quarterfinals before all players were eliminated.

The doubles team of Aaron Rassel and Clayton Kempf won their first-round battle in three sets over Waynesville by final scores of 6-1 and 6-2 before falling to Lebanon in three sets. The other doubles team of Rocky Jennings and Cole Bernhard were winners in straight sets of 6-3 and 6-2 before a quarterfinal loss to Waynesville.

In singles play, Drew Van Hook won his first round battle in straight sets over Waynesville (6-2, 6-0) before falling in the quarterfinals to Lebanon and Keaton Meyer also won his first round battle (6-3, 6-2) before his tournament ended with a loss to Rolla.

Camdenton ends the year at 5-12.

Osage season ends in individual districts

Osage had a tough draw on Saturday in the Class 1 District 8 tournament as three of the team's four seeds in individual districts were against district champion Helias in the first round.

One Osage doubles team managed to make its way through the bracket, however, as the duo of Logan Havner and Mitchell Turner finished fourth before the season came to an end. To advance to sectionals, a team or individual has to finish in the top two.

Osage ends the year at 5-11.
