Camdenton finishes 7th in Ozark Conference Tournament and Osage falls in regular season finale

Camdenton takes 7th in Ozark Conference Tournament

The 10 members of the Ozark Conference gathered in Springfield on Tuesday night to settle conference bragging rights in tournament action.

By the end of it all, Joplin took the team title while Camdenton finished seventh.

Camdenton took down Hillcrest 5-1 in the first round, fell to Kickapoo 5-0 in the second, dropped a 5-2 decision to Rolla in the third and ended on a high note with a 5-2 win over Parkview.

The Lakers finished the regular season at 5-11 and will prepare for team district play on Monday on their home courts. Seeding has not been determined at this time. Individual districts will also be at Camdenton the following Saturday at 9 a.m.

Osage takes tough loss at Salem

Osage was on the road Tuesday night for its regular season finale and it was a tough one for the Indians as they dropped an 8-1 contest at the hands of the Tigers.

The lone highlight of the night came from the doubles play of Grant Naudet and Hunter Albers who won their doubles match by a score of 8-6.

Osage (4-10) will begin its postseason on Monday in Jefferson City when the Indians face Richland in the first round of team districts at 4:30 p.m.
