Lakers and Indians battle with 29 other teams

The field was deep Friday night at Hillcrest as Camdenton and Osage took on 29 other schools at the Hillcrest Boys’ Invitational.

Points came at a premium for the Lakers and Indians as Jefferson City won the event with 85 points while Camdenton took 18th with 15 points and the Indians finished tied for 26th with no points on the board. Osage’s best finish was ninth in the 4x400 relay where the team of Jackson Myers, Mason Etter, Aaron Evans and Josh McCubbin put up a time of 3:44.35.

Listed below are the top eight finishers who earned points:


-300-Meter Hurdles: Christopher Morgan (8th) 42.89 seconds

-4x100 Relay: Camdenton’s Eli Griffin, Jacob Hill, Gabe Kurtz and Robert Nicklas (5th) 44.47 seconds


-Pole Vault: Camdenton’s Gabe Kurtz (4th) 13 feet

-Javelin: Camdenton’s Gabe Kurtz (4th) 147-09

Both the Camdenton and Osage male and female athletes will be in action for the Laker Relays in Camdenton on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
