Camdenton shuts out West Plains in conference opener
Camdenton started Ozark Conference play on the right foot Thursday night as the Lakers visited West Plains and came home with a 5-0 win over the Zizzers.
After two losses to start the year in trips to Bolivar and Springfield Catholic, which finished second in the state a season ago, Camdenton got back on track and picked up its first win of the season in convincing fashion. Aeryn Kennedy placed four goals in the back of the net, Brooklyn Stidham scored the other and assists came from Sasha Prather, Cordelia Dallam and Grace Hall.
Camdenton visited Helias on Saturday and fell 6-1 to the Crusaders, but the four-game road trip to begin the season has concluded and the Lakers (1-3) will be back on their home pitch on Monday to host Sedalia Smith-Cotton at 6 p.m.
Osage falls to Father Tolton
School of the Osage suffered its first loss of the season on Thursday as the Indians fell to visiting Father Tolton Regional Catholic 2-0.
Osage goalkeeper Payton Good recorded seven saves, but Father Tolton managed to sneak by a goal in the first and second half each.
The Indians (2-1) will seek to jump back in the win column on Tuesday night when they visit Fatima at 5 p.m.
