Camdenton came to West Plains with some momentum Monday night after picking up a win at Springfield Central last week. However, the Zizzers were able to defend their home court with a 63-56 win over the Lakers.

“We did not execute like we needed to in the first half,” Camdenton coach Staci Caffey said. “We played a great second half, but it was catch-up from going into the locker room down 11 points. They hurt us on the boards and hustle plays. Those are two areas we have to control to be in the game.”

Coley Rezabek lead the Laker offense with a double-double as she knocked down 28 points shooting 66 percent from the floor to go with her 10 rebounds and Blair Kurtz added 11 points of her own.

“I am very proud of how the Lady Lakers are playing. We have a few details that need to be ironed out, but for the most part we are heading in the right direction,” Caffey said.

Camdenton (7-5) will host Ozark Conference foe Joplin on Thursday night at 7 p.m.
