Versailles Chamber of Commerce for looking at creative solutions after finding a well under their floor while undergoing repairs. Rather than just covering the well with a steel cover, the chamber is hosting an open house to get input on what should be done. The well would be a unique addition to the chamber and preserve a piece of Morgan County history.

Eldon wrestlers for their victories on senior night. There were three seniors wrestling and all three came out on top. It was their first home meet of the season and the hometown fans were not disappointed.

things we still don’t understand in the Camden County budget. It looks like the Camden County Road and Bridge budget saw a decrease. We hope that’s not a sign of things to come after all the discussions in 2016 about the need for better roads. We fear it may be more of a situation where departments that have elected officials who will stand up to the commission may get what they want want while road and bridge is an easy place to make small cuts since it falls under the oversight of the county commission.
