Frank Douglas Mattenlee, age 84, of Gravois Mills, Missouri, passed away Friday, August 28, 2020 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri. Frank was born on May 3, 1936 in Kansas City, Missouri to Frank Mattenlee, Sr. and Isabell (Grant) Mattenlee. On May 30, 1957, Frank was united in marriage to Georgia Stephens in Kansas City, Missouri. They shared 61 years together at the time she preceded him in death on July 6, 2018.
Frank worked for Ford Motor Company for more than 30 years as a manager in vehicle shipment and retired from the company. He participated on a team that consulted the United Nations on drug programs representing North America. He was an active member of Elks Lodge #2705 of Laurie, Missouri and was the National Chairman of Drug Awareness Program with the Elks Lodge. Frank was a part of Morgan County CLEAR Association, and was an Eagle Scout in Taw Kappa Epsalawn Fraternity. He was a lifelong member of Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church in Laurie. He was a talented musician and loved to sing in the church choir, the Lake Area Choral, and participated in the JAM Band. In his spare time, he enjoyed wood carving.
Frank is survived by his daughters Beth Holder and husband Michael of Kansas City, Missouri and Lora Cunningham of Versailles, Missouri; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Frank was preceded in death by his wife Georgia Mattenlee and his parents.
A Virtual Service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations are suggested to Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church in Laurie, Missouri; Elks Lodge Drug Awareness Program; or Love Light Prison Ministry.
