James Anthony Saab
Sunrise Beach - James Anthony Saab, age 84, of Sunrise Beach, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021, at his home. He was born October 10, 1936, in St. Louis, Missouri, a son of the late Abdo "Otto" and Lenora (Reese) Saab.
In 1978, in Las Vegas, Nevada, he was united in marriage to his surviving wife, Ruth Saab.
Jim served his country in the Army Reserves.
He owned and operated Jim Saab Real Estate for many years. He was a developer building seven homes for the HUD government housing program in Potosi, Caruthersville, Sullivan, Steelville, California and other towns in Missouri. He also built many homes in the lake area.
Jim was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie where he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, playing cards, going to the casino and having breakfast with his friends.
In addition to his wife, Ruth, he is survived by his children, James Anthony Saab, Jr. and wife Amy of St. Charles, Missouri, Jennifer Micheletto and husband Mike of St. Louis, Missouri, Beth Ann Turnbough of Laurie, Missouri and Laura Jo Vincent of Maryland Heights, Missouri; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Ramona Swanguarim of Fenton, Missouri; sisters, Ellen Mercurio of Ballwin, Missouri and Mary Jane Fricks of Chula Vista, California and many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, George Saab and a son, Alan Swanguarim.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, August 18th, at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie. A Memorial Mass will follow at 12:00 Noon, at the church with Father C.D. "Bo" Ryan celebrating. Inurnment will be held at a later date at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Laurie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Knights of Columbus and Ladies Auxiliary. Expressions of sympathy may be left online at www.kidwellgarber.com.
