Erin Michael Murphy

Camdenton - Erin Michael Murphy, age 48, of Camdenton, Missouri passed away Monday, July 5, 2021, at his home. He was born August 19, 1972 and was the dearly loved son of Mary Ellen Murphy and his father, Michael Murphy.

In February 2020, Erin met the love of his life and fiancé, Kim Taylor. Prior to meeting Kim, Erin was a content bachelor. However, his life was changed once Kim stepped in and he realized he had met his forever soul mate, the person he had been waiting all these years for.

There are so many memories, moments and fun times that we could share and yet not come close to describe the son, brother, uncle, fiancé and friend that Erin was to everyone he met.

Erin's first priority was always his dear momma, papa and sister. His momma, Mary Ellen, was his rock. They spent countless hours talking through all of life's joys and challenges. He loved Papa Murph so deeply and served him so faithfully making sure every detail of his papa's life was taken care of. As with most siblings, Erin the older brother always knew what was best for his little sister Emily and at the same time he loved her so passionately always wanting the best for her in every area of her life.

To name everyone that would be considered Erin's friend would be impossible, yet we know that Matt and Andrea Fewell will always hold a special place in his heart as his kindred dearest family/friends.

His passion for life, for personal connection with people, for serving everyone in need was so immense that the impact of his life would fill a novel and yet still fall short of capturing all the lives he touched.

The best way to describe all that Erin did and was passionate about can be captured in the simple phrase, "He Faithfully Served". He faithfully served every child, teen, young adult and senior citizen of his church in every community he lived in; he faithfully served every child placed in his care at Kids' Harbor; and he so very faithfully and passionately served his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in all that he did.

Erin's love for all people was so vast that he somehow made sure to be at everyone's everything. You could find him at every graduation, birthday, sports event, celebration, wedding, memorial, party of every kind and so much more. Of course, he captured every moment everywhere in pictures and posted every detail in his Facebook journal.

Erin is survived by his fiancé, Kim Taylor of Osage Beach, Missouri; his father, Michael Murphy of Camdenton, Missouri; his sister, Emily Overly and her family of Huntley, Illinois.

The family will be honoring the memory of Erin and his sweet momma Mary Ellen in a private family focused service.
