Douglas Wayne Purdy passed away in his home on Saturday December 24th, 2022 in Lebanon, Missouri. He was born on June 17th, 1960 in Boonville, Missouri. Douglas was a very fun and loving person to be around. He always lit up the room and made friends with anyone he encountered. Douglas retired in June of 2022. Afterwards, he occupied his time fishing, hunting, and sitting by a campfire listening to music. Douglas's most beloved pastime was spending time with his grandchildren.

Douglas joined the United States Army in 1981 where he served in Desert Storm. He worked as a Chemical Repair Technician with a secondary MOS of light-wheel mechanics. He was then honorably discharged in 1992, where he settled down in Eldon, Missouri.
