It’s that time of year again for the Annual West Side Christmas Walk this Saturday, Dec. 3.
The event begins in Greenview and travels all the way to Bryants Osage Outdoors. Bryants will have live bluegrass music, sausage sampling and refreshments. The Sunrise Beach Little Theater is participating in the walk with a vendor fair Christmas Market of more than 28 vendors.
This year’s theme is Winter Nights and Magical Lights. Last year, shoppers packed into the many small businesses in Laurie for an enchanting day of shopping. Follow the yard signs through more than 25 businesses displaying the sign along Highway 5 beginning at Unique Finds Too at 8297 Highway 5 all the way to Bryants Osage Outdoors at 716 N. Main St., Laurie. Several of the stops are food oriented making plenty of opportunities for lunch.
Sponsored by Ozarks Custom Apparel and Craft Supply, the Westside Walk welcomes visitors to open houses from 10 a.m. until businesses close with their normal shopping hours. While visiting the 12-mile stretch of shopping, participants will receive a punch card when they visit any of the businesses. Every six punches of the card rewards shoppers with drawing entries for a gift basket valued at more than $500.
Businesses will be running special sales or doing raffles. Many put out cookies and refreshments with a holiday theme. Christmas music, decorations, games and lots of fun are sure to be had at this year’s Westside Walk. End the day with the Laurie Enchanted Village of Lights and the Shrine of Mary lighted displays.
If you are feeling charitable, The West Side Christmas Walk will partner with Share the Harvest and will be accepting new and sealed toys at participating businesses for their annual Christmas Toy Drive.
