A Platte City teenager was injured Tuesday afternoon while tubing at the 4-mile marker of the Grand Glaize Arm on Lake of the Ozarks.

A Platte City teenager was injured Tuesday afternoon while tubing at the 4-mile marker of the Grand Glaize Arm on Lake of the Ozarks. 

A Missouri State Highway Patrol report states that the incident occured when a 2019 Lowe Pontoon driven by Wanda Sankhauser, 60, of Platte City, was in the process of turning. The unnamed 14-year-old teenager struck a wake, became airborne and injured his back upon landing. The report states that the injuries were minor and the teenager was transported to Lake Regional Hospital by the Osage Beach Fire Department. 

The pontoon was undamaged and driven from the scene.
