There is a new family-friendly attraction coming to Lake Ozark this summer. Construction is underway to build an outdoor ropes course on the Bagnell Dam Strip. The Malted Monkey will be located next door to Tucker’s Shuckers and is expected to be open by Memorial Day. Plans for this ropes course spans 60 feet high with 45 different challenges on three levels.

Participants are secured by a harness which allows them to move freely to experience the obstacles that are position on three levels. It’s an up-in-the-air adventure that includes an exhilarating free fall. It will be open to anyone over 40 inches tall. On the ground floor, underneath the ropes course will be a small restaurant serving burgers, hot dogs, corned dogs and other carnival food. A milkshake bar will be offering a variety of flavors. And unique to the Lake area, there will be a few vegan options like the vegan burger (topped with vegan cheese) and milkshakes that meet certain dietary needs.
