Robert Louis Bock, 74, of Osage Beach, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Robert Louis Bock, 74, of Osage Beach, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 21, 1945 in Meta Missouri; a son of Louis and Elizabeth (Howard) Bock. He was united in marriage to Linda Kay Helton in 1965 and into this union two children were born. Robert was united in marriage to Margaret “Marte” Mason, on April 19, 1999 in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.

Robert graduated from Fatima High School in 1963, and attended Lincoln University. His 45 year career revolved around the automotive business. Robert was employed by Riley Chevrolet, Schanzmeyer Ford and Capital City Ford-Chrysler. He was owner and operator of Eldon Ford Mercury and still worked as an automotive wholesaler after retirement. Robert was a member of the Lake Presbyterian Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2693 in Jefferson City, and was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Ashland Masonic Lodge #156. He enjoyed music, baseball, history, driving thru beautiful scenery, taking boat rides, cooking on the grill and visiting the casinos. Robert’s favorite thing was “doing nothing” but he treasured the memories created with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years: Marte Bock; son: Larry D. Bock (Colette Moore) of Lake Ozark; family friend: Joyce Schokker of Holts Summit; and grandson: Lucas Bock. Robert is preceded in death by his parents; sister: Clara Billo Friedman; brother: Larry L. Bock and son: Bryan L. Bock.

Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Lake Presbyterian Church in Osage Beach. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Lake Presbyterian Church with Rev. Brenda Holder and Rev. Tom Buzbee officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Southside Cemetery in Meta, Missouri with Rev. Jane Bock officiating.

In lieu of flowers, it is requested that expressions of sympathy be made to the Lake Presbyterian Church in Osage Beach; Dogwood Animal Shelter, Shriners Children’s Hospital or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
