It’s “A MowTown Christmas” at the 35th annual Lake Ozark Christmas Parade on Saturday along the Bagnell Dam Strip.

The parade starts at 1 p.m. Entries will line up along Route 242, making their way down the Strip. Motorists should expect traffic delays from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. This year’s Grand Marshall is Jeff Van Donsel. His family, Donna, and children, Jeff Jr., Jennifer, Henry, and their spouses and kids will serve as Grand Marshals to honor Jeff who was an alderman, business owner and an active member of the community.

The parade will include a featured act, The Lawn Rangers from Arcola, Illinois. Locals are invited to join them marching down the Boulevard maneuvering their two signature moves: “Walking the Dog” and “Broom Toss.” This involvement requires three things: decorate and bring a lawn mower and a broom, look good, and show up. They will teach locals their maneuvers in a matter of minutes.

Make sure to bring the kids to visit with Santa afterward at Luby’s Plaza on the Stage. Each child will leave with a special gift package. For more information, go to www.lakechristmasparade.com.
