Upon arrival Officers found that a Walmart employee had discovered an unresponsive male subject, later identified as 45 year old James Edward Warner of Joplin, MO in the rear cargo area of a SUV parked on the parking lot. Police observed that Warner's body was laying on a mattress with clothing items found around him.

Camdenton Police Department has released a statement on the death of a man in the Camdenton Walmart parking lot Monday night.

The release is as follows:

On Monday, September 16th at approx. 5:20 PM, officers with the Camdenton Police Department responded to a call at Walmart regarding an unresponsive subject found in a vehicle. 

Upon arrival, officers found that a Walmart employee had discovered an unresponsive male subject, later identified as 45 year old James Edward Warner of Joplin, MO in the rear cargo area of a SUV parked on the parking lot. Police observed that Warner's body was laying on a mattress with clothing items found around him. As it was immediately apparent that Warner was deceased, a medical examiner was called to the scene to determine the cause of death. 

The body has been turned over to the medical examiner for further investigation and next of kin were notified.
