Students in the Eldon School District have a bright year ahead of them. As they returned to school this year, they found new LED light bulbs illuminating the classrooms.

Over the last year, the district invested in ENERGY STAR® LED lightbulbs to provide a brighter experience and save money.

The district made the smart decision to make these investments while Ameren Missouri offered incentives for the installation of energy efficient appliances.

These incentives provided nearly $38,000 in savings for the district and the savings don't stop there. LED bulbs use 90 percent less energy than old incandescent bulbs and 80 percent less than CFLs. That means monthly savings for the school district.

"Ameren Missouri is a great partner in helping us achieve our energy goals," said Matt Davis, superintendent of Eldon School District. "We are only a month into the school year and the results are clear, we are seeing a decrease in our electric bill."

Ameren Missouri has rebates available for residential and business customers. For a limited time, businesses and schools can qualify for a 10 percent bonus for projects through November 29, 2019. To find out more today visit AmerenMissouri.com/BizSavers.
