According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred July 11 at 8:30 p.m. when two boats approached each other hitting head-on. Donald Schrimpf, 82, of Rocky Mount was driving a 2016 Excel Utility 21’ and received minor injuries. He refused treatment at the scene. The boat was damaged on the port bow.
David Dillon, 85, of Overland Park, Kan. was driving a 2003 Bennington 25’ Pontoon. It was damaged on the port stern.
