Sherrell and Yasguirrer were located after a homeowner called and reported several men who were walking along the shoreline trespassing on his property.
Two St. Louis men have been banned from a popular lakefront venue after being charged in connection with an incident that left a security guard injured after they were told to leave the premises.
Daniel Sherrell, 27, and Lynn Yasguirrer, 65, were taken into custody on May 4, at Shady Gators off Sweet William Road on Horseshoe Bend. The two men allegedly fled from the bar after first getting into an argument with another group of patrons and then assaulting the security guard after being told to leave.
Sherrell and Yasguirrer allegedly left on foot and fled into a wooded area to a nearby residential area on Buttercup Rd.
Sherrell and Yasguirrer were located after a homeowner called and reported several men who were walking along the shoreline trespassing on his property. The homeowner alleged when he told them to leave, one of the men shouted at him, threatening him.
The homeowner later identified that man as Sherrell.
A third man who was with the suspects when they were taken into custody appeared to be related to Yasguirrer but he was not charged.
According to court documents, the security guard hurt in the altercation was taken to Lake Regional for treatment. He was later transferred to the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
A second security guard involved was not injured in the brawl. He later identified Sherrell and Yasguirrer as being involved.
When deputies confronted Sherrell, he had dried blood on his face and Ysguirrer’s jeans had dirt and mud on the legs.
The probable cause statement makes a reference to a third assailant who may have been involved in the incident.
Sherrell and Yasguirrer were taken into custody by the Camden County Sheriff’s Department and placed on a on a 24 hour hold They have since been charged with assault. Bond for each is set at $500,000.
