The $35 Million Cypress at the Lake opened in the fall of last year, and has quickly become one of the hottest projects at the Lake.
There is no other residential building quite like it on Lake of the Ozarks. Standing 12-stories tall at the 12-mile marker, this condominium development can’t be overlooked.
For years people wondered what was coming. Construction on the high-rise had stalled and the building had gone into foreclosure, but developers Jack Davis, and Dan and Ben Stegmann saw its potential. In 2009 they purchased the building and began imagining a five-star, resort-style complex that would redefine luxury living at the Lake.
According to Ben Stegmann, a partner with Cypress at the Lake, construction on the building paused in 2009, but the building was secured and protected until construction was able to continue.
The team hired Peninsula Construction Company, led by Rod Spooner, as the general contractor and began to turn their ideas into a reality.
The $35 Million Cypress at the Lake opened in the fall of last year, and has quickly become one of the hottest projects at the Lake. With more than 60 units, almost half of the residences have sold within the first 9 months.
“The demand for the project has exceeded our expectations,” Stegmann said. “The private residences at The Cypress have been carefully designed to provide all the luxuries of a single family home, coupled with the amenities of a first-class resort, without any of the maintenance or responsibilities that come with a typical second home,” Stegmann said.
The building consists of a concrete and steel superstructure, two floors of underground parking, and is ideally situated for the best view of the Lake. Residents can enjoy the morning sun from their oversized terrace, and the sunset from the outdoor living room and pool area, located on the tip of the peninsula.
The property has all the perks, too. An oversized saltwater infinity pool, private lakeside cabanas, an outdoor fireplace, espresso bar, cardio studio and more. Two high-speed elevators take you from your car or dock without going up a single set of stairs.
“This building has been designed to promote relaxed, healthy living and quality time together with family and friends,” Stegmann said. “While there is an opportunity for a future phase of construction, all of our energy and effort is currently directed toward completing this very special building.”
“The Cypress is truly a building for the generations, and by that we mean that there is something for every generation to enjoy now,” Stegmann said. “Because of the irreplaceable location and unparalleled construction quality, it will surely be enjoyed for many generations to come.”
