At 2151 last night Osage Beach Fire Protection District was called to deck fire at St. Moritz Condominiums off of State Route KK and St. Moritz Dr.

At 2151 last night Osage Beach Fire Protection District was called to deck fire at St. Moritz Condominiums off of State Route KK and St. Moritz Dr. At 2155 the first arriving units reported heavy fire through the roof of the building. Extinguishment operations were hampered by the lack of water at this location. Mutual Aid for Fire Boats was requested from Lake Ozark Fire and Sunrise Beach Fire and a water shuttle operation was established utilizing Osage Beach Fire, Mid County Fire, Rocky Mount Fire, and Gravois Fire. The fire was under control at 0025 but with heavy amount of overhaul units remained on the scene until 0324. Osage Beach is on the scene this morning making sure there are no hot spots in the structure. Structure is still standing however the building is considered to be a total loss, the building contained 4 multi story units.

Osage Beach and the State Fire Marshal began an investigation last night into the cause of the fire and while not suspicious at this time it is still under investigation. No injuries were reported to either occupants or the public.
