Multiple car accidents occurred in the Camdenton area Tuesday morning.

Police arrived on scene to a multi-vehicle crash on the Niangua Bridge on West US-54. The road experienced delays while first responders tended to the scene.

A trailer towed behind a car hit the bridge causing the accident. All lanes were blocked for nearly an hour. The Missouri State Highway Patrol was called to the scene. Two vehicles are involved. One woman was recalled as having chest pains at the scene, though no major injuries were reported. Wheel locations were marked to reopen the highway.

On the other side of town, a two-vehicle collision in resulted in injuries.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Donna Lutjen, 73, of Camdenton, and Angie Petrov, 47, of Camdenton, had minor injuries after an accident on Business Route 5 in Camden County.

On Tues., Apr. 30 at 10:58 a.m. Lutjen made a left turn in the 2000 Toyota Avalon she was driving. The 2011 Jeep Wrangler Petrov was driving hit the Toyota. Both drivers were transported to Lake Regional Hospital.

Both vehicles had extensive damage. The crash report indicated both drivers were wearing seat belts.
