“The 90’s” was the theme this year and many of the guests dressed the part!

Lake Ozark Daybreak Rotarians hosted the 23rd annual Winterfest on Saturday, February 23rd at Tan-Tar-A.  And, this year’s event was once again record breaking in attendance and funds raised!  The sold out event had more than 320 attendees who joined in the fun at the yearly Party with a Purpose.  “The 90’s” was the theme this year and many of the guests dressed the part!

Every year Daybreak Rotary gives to more than 40 lake area charities with funds raised from Winterfest and the Car Raffle, culminating at the Magic Dragon Street Meet on May 4th on the Bagnell Dam Strip.  More than $51,000 (net) from Winterfest will help Daybreak Rotarians continue to financially support lake area charities including Kids Harbor, CADV, Hope House, Lamb House, Medical Missions, Wonderland Camp, Lake Area Industries and many, many more!  Daybreak Rotary holds a charity reception each year in August to distribute the funds to lake area charities that are chosen by the club.  More information will be out in the spring on how to apply for funds.

This year’s Event Sponsor was Redhead Lakeside Grill, a new category in 2019.  Other major Sponsors for Winterfest included Central Bank of Lake of the Ozarks, Shawnee Bluff Winery & Vineyard, mPix and B & B Heating and Cooling.  Poly Lift Boat Lifts, Premier Dental & Oral Health, Above & Beyond Roofing, Joe and Carolyn Davinroy, Hawken CARSTAR, Wobbly Boots, Don Ludwig and Sally Lyon, Scott & Anna Diebold, Team Jane Kelly, McDorman and Parks, Alpha Graphics, Lamar Outdoor and Custom Signs rounded out the corporate and personal sponsorships.  Media sponsors were Benne Media, KRMS, Lake Media, Lake Expo, and LO Profile.  Thank you to ALL sponsors and the businesses, individuals and lake area organizations who donated auction items and services to make this Sold Out event happen!  A special thanks to Daybreak Rotarian Stacy Johnson for acting as MC, and Rick Bryant/Bryant Auction for donating his time and services!   The 2020 Winterfest is already being planned by the committee.  More information on this special event will be forthcoming.

The Daybreak Rotary club meets every Friday at the First Family Church on Hwy 42 across from School of the Osage at 7:30 am.  Breakfast is available.  Visitors are always welcome.
