With the help of LODC individuals and their families live more self-sufficiently, and they are able to be more active participants in the community.

Cindy Leyh recently provided an overview of the Lake of the Ozarks Developmental Center (LODC) to the members of Westlake Newcomers Club.

In the meeting, held at Westlake Christian Church in Laurie, they learned that this not-for-profit agency was established in 1979 to meets the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities in the lake area.

They offer multiple services that enrich the lives of these individuals including: Day Habilitation, Individualized Supported Living, Supported Employment Services, Transportation, and Referral.  With the help of LODC individuals and their families live more self-sufficiently, and they are able to be more active participants in the community.  Following the presentation, Ms. Leyh received a contribution to help continue the efforts of her agency.
