The second seminar in February was a painting seminar taught by the club’s own member, Doug Bibles.

The Lake of the Ozarks Woodcarvers Club sponsored two seminars in February.  They were held at The Community of Christ Church at 42 Sunset Drive in Camdenton. The first was a back-to-back clay sculpture class and a carving figures class.  This seminar was taught by Rich Wetherbee from Colorado Springs, CO.  He is a member of Caricature Carvers of America and teaches all over the U.S.A.  Rich gave a two day class of clay sculpturing and a three day class of carving from his designed roughouts.  He was greatly enjoyed and highly recommended as a class you would want to take if he is ever in your area.

The second seminar in February was a painting seminar taught by the club’s own member, Doug Bibles.  Students brought in their finished carvings, and Doug guided them with the painting, showing them which colors to use, how to shade, highlight, and how to blend the colors on the carving.  Doug said he enjoyed teaching the class, and the students said the class was really helpful.
