There were no injuries reported in the residential structure fire in Montreal early Friday morning. The fire is still being investigated.

According to a press release from the Mid-County Fire Protection District (MCFPD), firefighters were dispatched to a residential structure fire on State Road E in Montreal Fri., Feb. 22 at 12:09 a.m.

A two-story residence was full involved in the fire and the roof had already collapsed. Firefighters used hose lines to bring the fire under control in approximately 40 minutes.

The residence suffered significant fire damage and is considered a total loss. The residence was unoccupied at the time of the fire.

The fire is being investigated by the MCFPD Fire Marshal’s Office and the Missouri Division of Fire Safety. At this time, the cause of the fire is undetermined.

The MCFPD responded with one engine, five tankers and one mini pumper. The Tri-County Fire Protection District, Camden County Ambulance District, Camden County Sheriff’s Office and Laclede Electric assisted at the scene. The Osage Beach Fire Protection District responded to Mid-County Station #1 in Camdenton to provide coverage for any additional calls. There were no injuries reported with this incident. All firefighters cleared the scene at 4:35 a.m.
